Which these 3 free programing languages would be best for a beginner?
I'm thinking about playing around with one of Microsoft's free express editions they offer for these 3 programing languages:
Visual Basic
Visual C#
Visual C++
Which one would you recommend for someone who knows what programing is, but hasn't written code. I'm leaning towards one of the C flavors, but there are two of them.
Anyone know why Microsoft bundles SQR server with the downloads?
Highly technical opinions will not be understood and probably ignored.
Basic is probably the easiest, but isn't a very useful language. C# is based on Java, so it's a good choice. C++ is probably too difficult for a beginner since it involves a bunch of advanced computer concepts like memory management and pointers.
