What are some of the essentials I need to pack for Over-The-Road training - Truck Driver - 6 weeks out?
I'm going out with a Trainer for 6 weeks. What are some of the essentials I should not forget to pack. I have 6 pairs of jeans, 6 shirts, 6 underwears, pack of socks, flashlight, cell phone, highlighter, sleeping bag(actually a long blanket). Is there anything i'm forgeting?
1. Have some mad money,in the event you and the trainer don't get along,or the truck breaks down and you need a hotel for several days. 2. Have a shower bag with all your toiletries (soap, shampoo,grooming stuff). You aren't going to be dragging a suitcase in every time You take a shower,make sure you have a pair of shower flip flops,you don't want to go into shower barefoot.3. Reliable writing pens,for important paperwork,black is widely used on legal documents,such as bills of lading. 4.Comfortable bedding, don't forget the pillow and extra blankets,in the event of being stranded during winter weather. 5.Take 1 or 2 extra coats,for when you have to get out in the super cold to hook up or disconnect from the trailer. 6. Bring extra common sense,it seems to be in short supply,out here on the road,from drivers and trainers,to the companies in the ivory tower.
