K9 Dogs Lb
Have you used K9 Advantix?
I have a 12 lb chihuahua mix (either papillion or king charles spaniel mix). I've used Frontline plus in the past but this year the mosquitos and ticks seem to be far worse. Frontline keeps the ticks from attaching but doesn't repel them so after going outside we have to search him. Being a dark dog, I often worry we are missing some of them. Right now most times when he comes back, we pick a couple off of him.
Advantix is suppose to repel them and mosquitos which would be really nice for this area.
Have you switched from one to the other? Why?
(just an aside I order from mypetproductsdirect.com. They have great prices if you've never seen them before)
Has anyone switched from one to the other? Please don't just tell me what brand you use--it's not a survey question. I want to know why people have switched and if they switched back.
I don't know if this is helpful to you or not but my experiences with Frontline was that it didn't work very good at all. Advantage didn't seem to do much either but when I used Revolution there was NOTHING in my pet's fur at ALL, it worked amazingly well! You can usually purchase it at the Vet's and is quite worth it. I've seen them give larger doses that you can use half one month, half the next with for smaller animals like Chihuahuas and cats in order to save money... some Vets might not do that though but it doesn't hurt to ask. My neighbor and I both had no trouble getting the larger doses to use that way from the Vet, they instructed us on everything properly.
