what is a good over the counter flea meds for cats?
I have two cats and a new puppy. My cats are inside and it is getting very expensive to get them front line or other name brands... I was wondering if there was anything over the counter for the cats?
The only things that are safe and effective that you can get without a vet prescription are Advantage and Frontline. The cheaper ones aren't as effective, and contain ingredients that can cause seizures and death in cats. A trip to the emergency vet due to poisoning from one of those products can more than wipe out any cost savings from buying the cheaper flea meds.
